The Rules of Our Theatre
MA-TAN left behind not transience, but a powerful, enduring passion. On July 7th, the anniversary of her passing, I established this studio to weave her spirit into a new narrative. Everything within this theatre—including our policies—is crafted to honor that legacy.
On Orders and Cancellations: Each piece is custom-produced specifically for you, and production begins almost immediately to honor your choice. Because of this, once an order is placed, it becomes a fixed chapter in our narrative that cannot be altered or retracted. We ask that you verify your details with full intention before finalizing your selection—your commitment is the first step in our story together.
On Quality and Imperfections: Our products are made-to-order, one-of-a-kind vessels. While slight variations in placement or finish may occur due to our unique production process, these nuances are inherent to the method and are not considered defects. We do not sell mass-produced, identical copies; we believe the subtle personality of the piece that reaches you is its own "stroke of fortune." We invite you to embrace these details as part of your own narrative.
On Returns and Exchanges: As all pieces are crafted specifically for your order, we carry no inventory and do not accept standard returns or exchanges for change of mind or sizing errors. We strongly encourage you to review our Size Guide thoroughly before purchasing. If you are uncertain about the fit, reach out to us beforehand; we are here to assist.
On Manufacturing Defects: While we maintain the utmost care in our quality control, should you receive an item with a manufacturing defect or printing error, we will reproduce it at no additional cost. Please contact us within 30 days of arrival, providing photographic evidence of the issue, and we will handle it accordingly.
On Digital Presence: MA-TAN vessels are crafted to be seen, to be carried, and to be witnessed. We encourage you to document your journey; how you frame it in your world is part of the ongoing theatre. Whenever you perform your drama on your social stages, please use #MATAN_JOURNAL so your story becomes a permanent part of our collective theatre. Leave the logistics of getting the vessel into your hands entirely to us, but the act of recording the drama is yours.
To customers in the EU/EEA: Regarding the right of withdrawal. Under EU/EEA law, consumers are granted a 14-day right of withdrawal. If you choose to exercise this right, you are responsible for the return shipping costs. Please contact us within 14 days of receiving the product if you wish to return it.
